I started Odd Morning because many good nonprofits are stuck in the usual cycle. Safe messaging. Long meetings. Not increasing donations, volunteers, or community participation. There’s not enough momentum, not enough connection, and not enough support.
Odd Morning is about breaking that pattern.
Odd means having the courage to try something different. What have you been talking about for months or years but still haven’t started? Why do we keep circling the same ideas in meetings? Fear of change? Fear of rocking the boat?
Odd is the moment you take the risk anyway. You try something new and see where it leads.
Morning means today is a chance to do it differently. Breathe in that fresh air and start now!
You know stories move people. That belief has guided my years in nonprofit leadership, grant writing, and fundraising strategy. But what I really do is help mission-driven teams find the words that feel true. Not just persuasive. Truthful.
I don’t believe in generic appeals or checking boxes. I use hard-won experience and proven fundraising practices that are working for nonprofits across the country. I combine that with storytelling that has clarity and heart. That’s how you get people to lean in and stay.
Odd Morning exists for the moment after the meeting when someone says, “That’s what we were trying to say.” That’s when momentum starts.
I know you’re juggling more than ever. You’re navigating budget cuts, board pressure, and a community that needs more than a flyer or a hashtag. You’re asked to inspire donors, recruit volunteers, and rally your team all while rethinking what success even looks like.
You know your mission. You just need help saying it clearly and showing it in ways that connect.
That’s what I do.

This is what I look like when I’m doing something that matters to me.
In this video, I’m on-site with SELF, a nonprofit I’ve supported through storytelling, strategy, and community partnerships. I’m fully present, and proud to stand beside the people we serve.
This is authenticity. This is what people really want from you, too. Not the suit and the perfect nails. Be relatable. Be welcoming.
Be odd.
